Great weekend at Mid-Ohio!

The threatened soggy weekend held off until near the end and we had a great crew of clients competing in Groups 7, 8 and 9 for the weekend.

Paul Dudiak, who we first worked with and helped to clinch his SVRA Group 9 Championship overall at Road Atlanta last year, was working with us in his beautiful McKee Formula 5000 car. He cut four seconds off his previous best right off the bat and consistently performed well all weekend.

Paul bravely splashed around in the wet in that fearsome car and took third overall in the Group 9 race, refusing to cede his rightfully earned podium spot on the penultimate corner of the last lap of the race!

We felt cheated when our first opportunity to work with the delightful Tim Murray was cut short by an engine failure at VIR in April of this year, but we more than made up for it as Tim shone in the wet races Saturday and Sunday at Mid-Ohio, earning K&A clients their second podium this weekend! Congrats to Tim for a fine drive!

Tom Kane has become a force to be reckoned with in his Tiga, achieving the NAC-SRCC Historic Sports 2000 class victory at Mid-Ohio and nearly always running in the top five of the seventeen car entry on his first visit to the course.

Skip Bryan went well but decided to forego the wet races on Sunday to preserve the car and himself. Skip was overall Group 8 Sprint Series Champion last year in SVRA and has won the SVRA “Most Improved Driver Award.” Go Skip!
